I have an 816 X I want to add 8 more channels through ADAT.
What is your opinion of using an 824 with the 816x? Is there a better solution?
Would I get a higher rate than the typical 8 adat channels at 44.1khz by using two steinberg units together?
Does it matter and are there other factors more or equally important?
The UR824 would be good … just make sure you configure the routing correctly. Channel count is an ADAT limitation and not something Steinberg can work around … you can use 44.1/48K @ 8 channels or 88.2/96K @ 4 channels (S/MUX).
