What would you like to see in Cubase 15?

..please make routing folders in cubase 15, and easier tempo detection process.

Since Cubase 15 is “likely” to come out in November, it is very unlikely that any of these recent suggestions have any chance of being included. If they are smart, they will be doing at least two months of testing and bug bashing before cutting a release candidate, if not more.

How do you expect that to work? Some instruments and/or articulations just naturally have a slower attack time. It’s not something the VSTi developer nor sample library creators can change.
When a real instrument is played, this is adjusted for by the musician.

I would expect, when I load an instrument, staccato, legato or “sustained” or whatever play in time when I record and play back. Like, on the click track.

I can understand that VSTi orchestral libraries, in particular, deal with hundred of thousands of samples, but I have spent half my life fixing their timing so that I don’t sound like an idiot when I send my music to producers and directors…

Even samples like 16th note electronic, percussive and guitar repetitions are often out of time, this is unacceptable

Doriconality.
Now that we can import Dorico projects, importing the tonality systems and parsing them to the (particularly Steinberg) instruments would help.
For example, writing in 31-tet in Dorico pointing to a Steinberg instrument in Halion works.
But once it leaves Dorico space, the 31-tet-ness goes away, since Halion on it’s own does not support more than 12 steps per octave.
Which, yes, is an issue with Halion, but Cubase being able to do the mpe tricks the way Dorico to control pitch would be most helpful.

Small improvement Idea.
The option to make frequency the default channel strip EQ.

Note, who are the worst offenders.

All companies have this issue, some are better than others though, probably Spitfire is the most accurate, but still. Symphobia was desperately terrible; I am not using it anymore.

Sadly, they don’t.

Yeah I’m the same. I’ve had to go over to Reaper. I wish C14 was stable for me but I’ve had to give up on it sadly.

If I may ask: If you have moved on to Reaper - why are you still here?

We already have special agent Dr W who keeps on flooding this forum with the exact same claim over and over and over and over and over and over and over…

They released VST3 version for LXP reverb not so long ago (I was using Cubase 13 in Rosetta mode just because this). They did the same for PCM bundle.

Sorry people, this topic has grown very long and is generating too much moderation work, so I’m closing it.
