What's needed for Cubase 6

Hello,
Want to run Cubase 6 on an old rig.

What’s needed?

Older version with licensee dongle than a 6 upgrade?

Buy later version and can still run it?
If so I only see v6 updates, not the full version.

If anyone comes across this and has a solution to get Cubase 6 on an offline PC, let me know.
