When Condensing ties and there notes are disappearing

four bars with tie-ed notes. After condensing as wel as the ties as de notes disappear.

I had to put a slur at the first note see fig 1.

Result with only Tie’s see fig 2.

Possibly a bug in the condensing?

It’s understandable that Dorico gets confused here, because if the divisi starts at bar 40, then part 2 can’t theoretically play the note in bar 39 (which, for Dorico, is a single note lasting 18 quarter notes). So the divisi should anyway start at bar 39, with part 2 playing either a whole note or nothing, I think. In both case it works for Dorico, and I think it will be clearer for the musicians too!

Yes,… looks like a better solution. I took me some time to figure out what made notes disappear. I loved the issue by choosing for a slur between the first and second bar.
