When Cubase 16 is accounced / released? when can I safely buy it with the grace period? thanks ..
Currently using Cubase 11 Pro and its limitations on modern CPU resources driving me crazy .. it doesn’t even use 10% of my CPU and throttle even when I set the buffer to 2048 with Quantum HD2.
A few months before every release people post asking this very question, and the answer is always the same. The release will be announced right about when it happens.

IF there is one, upgrade to v15, AND SIT ON IT until v16 is released.
Activate your licence then and you’ll get an automatic upgrade to v16.

Yes, caveats. There are many forum posts about it.
It’s not when you activate the license that you get the free update. I have grace period fatigue, so I’ll just suggest searching the forum.
Will there be an update to the current version, i.e., V15 is the question that I would ask.
If you only want to update because of this reason save yourself the money. Cubase 15 seems to have the same issues and it was announced that there won’t be any improvement for this with C16. The folks at Steinberg need more time to improve the situation.

There better be… They better fix that horrible way groups/groups with audio routing and the way it act when hiding/showing folders within the mixer vs the arr/project page.

Well, any official announcement won’t be made in this thread but like all who use Steinberg DAW’s, I can’t wait to see what is in the next version as well.
I will say one thing though; they have been getting better all the time at presenting their software on their website. There has been plenty of food-for-thought moments that I have had while looking through the product pages and then comes the special so like always it is best just to keep submitting feature requests, and workflow improvement ideas, and wait.
There will always be longstanding bugs, it is the nature of the beast. For example, while it doesn’t affect me, I am very curious as to how the DAW system(s), will perform in the longer term, in terms of processor scheduling, or having things like Ripple Edit, as well as how (well) the software works, with 3rd party controllers and DSP platforms.
P.S. we can’t forget ARA, now can we
Will upgrading now from 11 pro to 16 pro with the discount give me the grace period for cubase 16?
After I upgrade do I get a code which I should not redeem or how do you do that?

@elirancohen1991 No it will not. Please read the topic carefully, and search the forum for any of the many other topics regarding this.
The Grace Period is not an entitlement. It is there to help folks who buy a license in a situation where, nearly the very next day, a new version comes out.
