When dropping Spectralayers's segments into Cubase Project

Hi all,

After updating Cubase Pro to 15.0.20 (Win 11), I no longer get the dialogue option asking to import track into project, when dropping parts from Spectralayers Pro 12 into my Cubase project, using Unmix song in ARA mode.

The dialogue always popped open when dropping the unmixed segment (for instance, Drums) into Cubase. After updating it no longer does.

Any ideas how to get the dialogue back?

Best,

Magnus

Hi,

Double-check the Preferences > Editing > Audio > On Import Audio Files. The default option is set to: Open Options Dialog.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for pitching in. I already checked that. This option is as described by you…

Hi,

So if you import an Audio file via File > Import > Audio, you can see this window, right?

Just checked this. It works as it should. Perhaps it is an ARA thingy that is broken in 15.0.20. It worked in 0.10.

Thanks again, best,

Magnus

No more ideas, @Martin.Jirsak? I think this must be an ARA bug that was introduced in 0.20.

Magnus

Can confirm this!
When “open options dialog” is selected in preferences,
I get this, when importing from Spectralayers:

It´s interesting, that we get this old dialog here, which many people wish to get back for importing audio files!

And this, when importing from somewhere else:

There is no setting to copy imported Spectralayers files to the projects audio folder
(except bounce selection after importing)

Thanks for pitching in. I used to get the Copy file to Project Folder dialogue box whenever I dragged unmixed tracks from Spectralayers to Cubase in ARA. In 0.20 I don’t.

Best,

Magnus
