I am new to home studio recording, and I recently purchased an M-Audio M-track Plus MKII and it came with Cubase 64-bit. Everything is great until I play it back. My voice fades in and out and it sounds terrible. I’ve tried playing around with the mix console, I’ve adjusted the buffer size multiple time, and I have defragmented my computer. I know that my driver for the interface is up to date because I just bought it. Please help! I don’t know what else to try! Thank you so much in advance!!

Does it fade out to the silence? If yes, make sure, you are not using any 3rd party Trial plug-in in the DEMO Mode. Some developers do this during the Trial period.
