When upgrading from Cubase Pro 9.5 to Pro 12, do I have to reinstall all the virtual instruments?

When upgrading from Cubase Pro 9.5 to Pro 12, do I have to reinstall all the virtual instruments (vsti), vst, preset sounds, samples, etc. that were used in the previous 9.5?
Or is it just that the program is updated and these things can be used right away without any changes?
I want update, but it’s complicated to think about installing all the things again…

You don’t need to update the plug-ins to use Cubase Pro 12 after upgrading from 9.5, but it’s recommended. Updating the plug-ins is also required to allow them to work without the USB-eLicenser dongle.

All included instruments have been updated since Cubase Pro 9.5, and a lot of new content has been added. If you don’t want to think too much about it, you can just click the Cubase Pro 12 icon in the Steinberg Download Assistant and click “Install All” to the top right.
