Seriously? It’s almost 2027 and a system that calls itself professional still lacks basic features like auto-loop and auto-sampling. Is this something only a phone manufacturer can do?

Autoloop is the function that automatically searches for one or more loop point candidates in a sample to create a sustained sound without any jump between the beginning and end of the loop. Samplers like the Akai S1000 already included this ages ago; it saves time. The manual option is great, in fact, it should be mandatory, but not having an automatic option seems prehistoric to me.
As for the autosampler function, any professional sampler today should include it: you configure the session in the sampler, specifying the number and layers of samples, and let it do its thing; it automatically sends the MIDI note to the device to be sampled, samples it, and assigns it to the appropriate keyzone.
These are the things that make me question why I stopped using Logic… it’s had all this for many years.

To automatically detect suitable loop start and end positions, click Find Previous Loop Start/Find Next Loop Start or Find Previous Loop End/Find Next Loop End.
