After the recent update I started a piece for 2 clarinets - set it up with two different staves. Writing in one 2 stave system (which showed both players) when I got to the end of the staff and hit enter only the staff I was working in showed up. I checked cutout scores and nothing was checked but the score was behaving as if it was. I still can’t get it to stop and can’t figure out why this is happening. Any thoughts?
Are you working in page view with the layout option set to hide empty staves?
You may prefer to work in galley/fill view, which never hides staves.
I’m working in page view like I always do but is this a new thing as I’ve never seen this before? Galley view is something I only use under certain circumstances but don’t really like using it in general. I did see the option under view and unchecked cutaway staff lines but it had no effect. In any case if this is a new thing I’m not crazy about it. Thanks for the reply.
It’s not new. You can go to Layout Options > Vertical Spacing > Staff Visibility and set Hide Empty Staves to Never.
