So I paid for Cubase 14 upgrading from 13 that I bought last year so I follow the steps, using the upload assistant and all. I got the download and installed but when I tried to enter that download code I get this error code:
YOU ENTERED A DOWNLOAD ACCESS CODE FOR A PRODUCT UPGRADE BUT YOU DO NOT OWN A LICENSE TO WHICH THE UPGRADE CAN BE APPLIED TO. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR LOCAL SUPPORT TEAM.
I paid that $500.00+ for that upgrade and I can’t use it cause of that license so how do I optain that license?
Hi and welcome to the forum!
I am assuming we are talking about the Pro Version based on your 500$ bill:
If you paid 500$ you must have accidently bought a whole new license instead of an upgrade from Cubase Pro 13 to Cubase Pro 14. The latter costs about 100$.
However, the error code says you tried to upgrade an existing license - in other words you must have bought an actual update.
Please check your email containing the Download Access Code: what license/upgrade did you buy?
Check which Cubase version you own: Pro/Artist/Elements…? Did you buy the correct update? Keep us in the loop and let’s take it from there.
I did the same thing and can’t find a fix. I bought the upgrade from 12 Artist to 14 Pro and my download access code error message is saying the same thing
Hello and welcome.
Can you post a screenshot showing the product that you bought? Please erase any personal details like the email address.
If you’re sure you’re logged in with the same credentials then this usually indicates you’ve managed to buy the wrong upgrade or that your previous version was already due a free grace period update that you didn’t activate.
As Johnny says please show a screencap of the update you purchased and the active license for 12 Artist.
