Where did my Pitch ben and Modulation disappear to?

Hello dear forum

Where did my Pitch ben and Modulation disappear to?

after downloading the Cubase Artist 14 upgrade, the Pitch ben has disappeared and there has even been a mixed chord on the last keys on the keyboard.

Is it possible to get the Pitch ben back to use, perhaps by setting something that filters out the chords with the Pitch ben, so that the Pitch ben can be used again on the Midi keyboard Evolution MK-149 connected to PC/W11 and CA14.

Hi,

Where exactly do you miss it? In the list of the Controllers (Controller Lane) or as the GUI object at some instrument or you cannot Record the MIDI Data anymore?

If the last one is the case, do you use any MIDI Remote Device? Also double-check the Preferences > MIDI > MIDI Filter, please.

Hi Martin.
Thank you very much for your answer. You are right that under preferences MIDI-MIDI filter Pitchbend is not checked… so I have done that now and will see if it changes anything.

And yes, I can’t get the keyboard to work with the pitch bend and modulation function when playing on keyboarded. How and why it doesn’t work is not known, it is the effect function on keyboarded that is apparently just not set.

Your suggestion is welcome and I am currently looking to see if there is something that has been overlooked when starting the CA14 setup.

So now I have tried to check the boxes under MIDI filter and then I will have to see if I am wrong or if it does anything. I will probably tell you here if it works…

Hi,

Sorry, I wasn’t clear. The parameter must be unchecked, to make it working. If it is checked, this means, the filter is enabled, so the data is filtered out.

So if the PitchBend filter was disabled and it didn’t work, try to double-check the Remote devices from the Studio > Studio Setup, please.

I try and try…

Hi again Martin

I’m a little confused about the new setup of Cubase rather than the older E usb key version.

Before I had all instruments, sounds and functions, just not fade out & fade in, which I was promised would come with the new update. (It’s not)

I had my setup in place also with Keyboard (usb connection) on M/K 149 Evolution (Pitch bend - Modulation)

Now that connection is gone and I can’t see where it is put out of service. (I can’t fix it)

It has been in service on the new setup, on half a song, and then closed or turned off again.

I sense Steinberg is teasing me a bit by rejecting me with the licenses.

My principle is that you don’t buy if you don’t know what it is and contains. It’s not better just by buying more for Cubase artist 14.

So it confuses me that initially it’s only a small wheel on the Piano keyboard with Pitch Bend on the left that doesn’t work yet.

I hope that Stainberg technicians can adjust that so we can get everything in place. I can’t adjust anything else, a technician has to come in and find my Pitch Bend wheel or intercept a suitable driver.

Thank all for kind ness back up my question

Hi,

You can always try Cubase before you buy it. With every single major version, there is Cubase Trial. Fully functional Cubase licence, which is working for 60 (!!!) days.

The rest of the questions, I’m sorry, I’m confused. Are you talking about MIDI Remote or do you want to send plain PirchBend data?

What is the license problem?
