?Bump?
I didn’t as I never use offline process.
No because I never use offline process.
No I don’t think you are.
Thanks
Btw
How many client based mix jobs do you do per week?
None whatsoever…what does that have to do with my answers?
I was just curious as to wether your workflow demands it or whether you represent most users.
The offline feature is part of a toolset whereby you clean and fix stems sent by clients very quickly ie general spectral balance, loudness normalisation etc so that you are forced to commit rather than 10 plugins with endless interdependencies etc.
Using templates of course…
Its a bit of a hidden gem of working and offline in Cubase takes it further.
I think I originally got the idea from a masterclass with DuPont or one of those guys with a heavy accent…but it was like…wow, that puts you back in the fast creative space like committing to tape etc (and Im trying to emulate that so the tape is doing the +0db compression)…thats why older mixers do it so easily…kind of like bottom up is already done and you just balance and add the highlights.
Anyway, nothing sinister…thanks for the chat…and thats why ALL the offline tools are important
