Where there issues with Clean Up.....

Hi guys,

As a temp solution, you can use backup to new folder, with “remove unused files” flagged.
No risk factor at all.

Hi Fredo, sure we can… as far as there’s only one single project in folder. If not, we’re back to starting point as one should have to create one new folder per project… If ever those projects share a certain amount of audio files, these files will be duplicated in the new folders, loosing the cleanup benefits then…

Hello Fredo,
That’s what we’ve been doing, it just chews up a lot more disk space obviously and takes quite a bit of time with a few hundred GB per project. Here’s a glass raised to hoping SB finds the issue.

Some update about cleanup issue. I had some turnaround, working with N5.5 and cleaning with N4. It works. Well I mean, that’s what I thought…

I had a cleanup on 2 whole years projects and backup then. I’ve been opening some of these projects yesterday and here’s what I got: on some projects, some files are missing, I even have one project folder with an empty Audio folder, not one single audio file, project is gone :frowning:(

Let me say I’m used to cleanup feature, I’ve been using that for many years and I know about archiving before cleaning so that all files are located inside project folder, no faulty process here. But it looks like cleaning with N4 can cause errors and delete useful files.

Once again, I can’t understand why this feature doesn’t work anymore with N5.5… This is a main feature, not a daily one, but a fundamental one for a professional use of Nuendo.

5.5.6, nothing new.

STILL NO CLEANUP FEATURE…

It really is just pathetic.
Maybe they should just create a separate app that does it and remove it from the N5/N6 menu.
really really pisses me off.
