Where to find new instruments and effects presets for Cubasis 3 Android

Where can you get new instruments and effects presets for Cubasis, i.e. Microsonic, Micrologue, etcetera?
And what file type are these anyway??

Hi mrkmatthew87,
Have you looked on the App Store? (Google Play)
There are absolutely loads of AUv3 synths and fx units, many are free and have fx built in.
You can’t add instruments to Minisonic, but you can creat your own presets with Micrologue and Minisampler.

Hi @mrkmatthew87,

Thanks for your message and a warm welcome to the Cubasis forum!
Apart from the included factory presets we do not offer additional content as of now.

Best,
Lars

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. To my knowledge the Auvs and other plugins are only available for the apple/ios version and not Android, which I am using.
Haven’t yet found any Android alternatives for Auv3, Vst, FX plugins etcetera which makes you wonder when they will catch up and upgrade their system to better accommodate the millions of us musicians, producers and music lovers…

*** And I’ve already been uploading .Wav files using Minisampler but the problem is it only lets u play that one default/root note of the sample file, u won’t be able to play various notes of that instrument.
(I don’t believe Apple users are having this problem with the iOS version of Cubasis)

I’m not sure about Cubasis on android, but Minisampler on iOS allows you to drop a .wav onto a note on its keyboard which then changes colour and the note name is indicated, tap and drag this note indicator left and/or right to expand the key range of that particular wav.
One problem with stretching the note range too far is that the sound become unnatural, ie a flute note stretched over two octaves sounds ridiculous as the vibrato speeds up, in which case it is necessary to add a series of .wavs so that each note will only be a stretched a maximum or two semitones both sides of the root notes - this means root C4 will span [A#3 to D4], root F3 will span [D#3 to G4] etc, it’s not perfect but it’s sounds much better than just using one sample. I use samples recorded from Kontakt 3 Sampler (Desktop) for this purpose.
Please forgive me me if I am preaching to someone who already knows this.
Mike.

Hi @mrkmatthew87,

Unfortunately Android does not offer any option to load external plug-ins, such as Audio Unit, Inter-App Audio and/or Audiobus on iOS.
