Where to find people skilled at spectral separation/restoration/unmixing for film/TV soundtracks?

Hey! I’m looking for people experienced with manual/AI-assisted spectral audio separation/unmixing and restoration.

I’ve been wanting to rip some songs and especially background music from some of my favorite TV shows as a fan project, because there haven’t been official releases. I have lossless material to work with, but unfortunately the music, dialogue, overlapping voices, SFX and ambience are often baked together in a stereo 2.0 track.

Automated AI splitting models such as UVR help a little, but some sections really need manual spectral editing and repair to correct AI mistakes and get cleaner results. So I would like to find people who are actually skilled in more manual or hybrid restoration.

If anyone here works with something like SpectraLayers/RX, spectral repair, M&E reconstruction/restoration, etc., I’d love to hear. I wasn’t sure where else to ask this, so advice as to what other places I could be pointed towards to to ask my question is welcome too.

Hi Camilla!

I have experience doing this kind of work, mainly in Spectralayers. I used to use RX as well, and still use some modules, but I’ve migrated completely to Spectralayers for spectral editing a few years ago.

If you are interested, feel free to DM me so we can further discuss the scope of the work, budget, deadlines, etc.

My best regards,

Henrique

Hi, thanks for the reply!

I seem unable to send DMs, maybe because my account is too new or I haven’t made enough posts.

I sent you a DM, perhaps if you get one then you can respond?

I would consider myself a “specialist” because I kinda sorta have my own algorithms and go beyond stem separation.
