since yesterday something changed in my Cubase 10.
Before that - when choosing any track in the project window the orange loudspeaker-symbol was automatically active. Now it isn’t any more.
How can I restore that as default behaviour for Cubase again?
Tapemachine-mode is in automatic mode (not manual, when record mode is active, during recording).
I know that I can set per preference to set tracks automatically in record mode (when choosing). That works.
Did not find a way to set auto-mode for monitor on when choosing any track in the project window. Thought it would be when bandmachine-mode is set to automatic - but no.
You need to set the monitoring to “monitor if record enabled”.
Together with the setting to enable recording on selected tracks, it should do what you want.
thanks. I already tried that, but did not gave what I wanted, seems that monitoring still does not get activated. I uploaded a short video plus two pics (where you can see how it looks like in my VST-preferences view and in the project and mix console-view .
In the video I had sucessfully activated auto-recording on before - and it works, but only for audio files, not for vst-instruments.
Found this thread, where Martin said that there is no way for auto-enabling monitor (maybe it depends on what version, here it is version 10)
