Where's the Freeze button?

I’m using Cubase 5.5.3. The manual doesn’t provide any clues.
I’m wanting to freeze the inserts for an audio track and the button simply isn’t there.

you can only freeze the entire audio track. the button is in the function/ info section to the left of the track. you may have to increase the size of that area to see the little snowflake icon.

you can freeze a vsti in the vsti window which will freeze all fx as well as the parts on the track
