Which side are you on? (Vertical lines)

I am trying to add a vertical line (bracket) to the right of a chord.
Is there a procedure to get the bracket positioned after the first chord like after the second?

Try cutting the tie and applying the bracket, then adding back the tie.

So this is a case where Dorico doesn’t see tied notes as one entity.
