Which TI firewire card?

I have a Profire 2626 for my new system and I need some advice on finding a proper firewire interface.

I’ve heard that the FW inputs on most MOBO are insufficient and that TI is the way to go.

Does it matter if it’s PCI or PCIe?

Are there certain specs I should look for?

I’m now leaning toward getting a Gigabyte Board with built in TI.

Any thoughts?

I have both belkin and a lacie TI chipset firewire cards and both work similarly. However with the belkin in the computer, dpc latency checker shows slightly lower latency.

For bandwidth and speed, first is built in, then PCIe, and last PCI.
