This has happened often, and I need to reset to fix it.. I am in write mode and all of a suddent the pitch on the midi keyboard becomes distorted andand wrong…until I go back and restart or refresh… am I missing a setting somewhere? I like to use Note Performer
Usually, if the pitch is off by a semitone, then that’s a symptom of different sample rates being selected in different places. E.g. 48000 Hz somewhere and 44,100 Hz somewhere else.
Check your computer’s audio settings; Dorico’s audio settings, and possibly even the VST’s settings, and make sure that they all have the same.
This has happened to me a few times in the past and it was due to my audio interface switching.
In my case, it was between my regular interface and my AirPods (which are 48k). I think the issue was that the AirPods were automatically disconnecting when I went to make a coffee but I wasn’t officially changing the interface in Preferences. Or something along those lines.
