Why can't I open project files by dragging them anymore?

Using Cubase 8 Pro with Windows 10.

I used to be able to drag my project files onto the menu bar of Cubase and it would open just fine…

can’t do that anymore with Windows 10…

Is there a way to fix this?

Maybe you are running Cubase as administrator.

Why would that make any difference?

If I didn’t run Cubase as administrator, I won’t be able to run JBridge…

Yes…this is W10 security “improvement”…it won’t allow dragndrop between admin Cubase & non admin explorer.

There is a new Jbridge version some of the C9 users have been given that does not require admin rights. Not sure if it’s the latest version on site or if you need to request it.
