Why can't I shift-click to select regions on adjacent tracks?

I switched over to a different DAW for a project. When I came back to Nuendo, after upgrading to 13.0.30 (even though I doubt that’s the issue), I can’t seem to shift-click to select regions on adjacent tracks so I can move them around as a group. I’m sure I must be missing a setting or something but can’t figure out why I can’t do this anymore. Here’s a video of what I’m trying to do. Everytime a new event is selected in the video I am holding down the Shift key.

Cannot find any issue with this. Shift+click on multiple events works fine here. They are all selected and can move them around as a group.

Afterthought: is your selection workflow confused because you have ‘Combine Selection Tools’ active?

Thanks @stingray. It wasn’t the combine selection tools setting, but, you got me thinking that it must be some setting that changed with the update. So, when I opened and applied my pref file from the Settings page, everything went back to normal. Still don’t know which setting it was, but it’s all working now!
