Why did I lose all my key commands when I updated to 8 Pro?

Cubase 7.5 and Cubase 8 would be separate installs (each has its own folder).

Have you tried copying the key commands from 7.5 into 8 Pro?

Yes I copies the Key Commands.xml from
C:\Users\Steinberg\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 7.5_64
to
C:\Users\Steinberg\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\Cubase 8_64
