Why do my grace note slurs look improper?

These grace note slurs don’t look correct to me. Shouldn’t they just go to the note directly beside them? How do I fix this?

Select the slur (click and highlight it) then in the properties panel at bottom select direction.

If you want the slur to point to the adjacent note, select the right handle and move it up (or down), in Engrave mode. I’d nudge it using the alt/up arrow technique. The grace notes look a bit close to the notes that follow. You can specify globally more space in Engraving Options or move individual notes in Note Spacing mode.
