Why does cubase reduce automation points after recording?

hi folks,
When I record automation in real-time (using a knob, controller, or mouse), I initially see all the points being recorded smoothly, and the curve follows my movements accurately (I see the points being drawn). but, after i stop the recording , Cubase reduces the number of automation points automatically, and the curve changes slightly, which affects the feel of the automation.

This reduction happen automatically after recording and i havent changed any settings or set it in a certain way. Is this a feature that I can disable ? I want Cubase to keep all the points exactly as I record them, without modifying or optimizing the data as this changes the feel of the automation afterwards…

Does anyone know how to solve this behavior. It would really help me atone. Thanks

Check out the section “Manual writing of automation data” in the manual. I think it mentions how to manage this setting .

That’s it. thanks, mate, for pointing me to that section in the manual, I wasn’t sure what it was called. After checking it, I found that I needed to go to Project > Automation Panel > Settings and change the reduction level from the default 50% (which it was set to) to 0%. Now the behavior is gone, and it works perfectly.
