There was a time when I could export a 4 or 5 minute song in about 20 or 30 seconds. Now it takes several minutes. Why? Any way to speed it up?
Are you using UAD plugins by any chance? My exports are fast when using only native stuff but UAD will slow it down to a crawl.
Thanks, no, but I used to have them installed and they still show up in my Cubase plugin lis. I don’t know how to remove them.
Use the Plug-In Manager to ID what folder on your system the UAD plugs are installed. You might need to make the plugin info panel at the bottom visible if it isn’t. Then go to that folder and delete the .dll files or move them somewhere that Cubase won’t look for them.
Move the Powered Plugins folder out of your VSTPlugins folder.
Actually, it would be good if they offered the option to only install purchased plugins, as the large number of their plugins slows down Cubase’s startup. I used to install them into another folder, and then only copy those that I had purchased into a Powered Plugins folder in my VSTPlugins folder.
