I swear I’m going crazy, but when I record midi in a loop now, the first notes always end up outside of the right locator. This was never the behavior, and I swear there’s a setting I changed accidentally that would make it so that those notes would get preference at the beginning of the loop.
Am I nuts?

Have you got Automatic Quantization enabled or disabled? If disabled, enabling it may solve the problem.

How is your Preferences > MIDI > Extended Playback Range of Notes the Start before the Part option set up, please? The default value is 0.
