Make sure you’re using the circle open technique under “Unpitched Percussion”, and that its playback technique is set to Open 2. The difference between Open 1 and Open 2 is that Open 1 is a direction, which lasts until canceled by another technique, and Open 2 is an attribute, which lasts only until the end of the notes it’s on.
Thanks @JesterMusician ! I don’t know what the issue was… I was using exactly as you described, but it wasn’t working… I removed, then re-added the technique, and is now working as you described.
