Why does WL13 take 2 minutes to open "recent files" list and

Take so long (over a minute) to open WL13 during the first opening of the day?

Maybe you have some files on a sleeping network.

It’s clearly ‘looking for something’.

Just a suggestion: create a new blank project. Save is as whatever you want.

Before closing WL and shutting down the machine, open that blank Project.

In the start up dialogue, select the blank Project from the recent list.

I got into the habit of doing this way back in WL9.5 when ranomly the last project could rename itself and cause issues.

No all my files are on local disks none on network drives or servers.
