Why doesn’t the project key reflect in the Score Editor in Cubase?

I have set the key of the project in the Project window, but it is not reflected in the Score Editor. Why is this?

Also, how can I properly insert a key signature in the Score Editor?

I would appreciate an explanation of the difference between the project key and the score key signature, and the correct way to handle this.

Thank you.

Hi,

It has been implemented like this since ever. The Root Key is useful for the transposition of Audio/MIDI Loops with predefined pitch.

To set the Key Signature in the Score editor, use the given tool in the Score Editor.

Which version of Cubase do you use?

Which tool in the Score Editor are you referring to?

I have both Cubase version 14 and 15.

Is the following understanding correct?

Steve,

Thank you very much. I didn’t realize that there is an Inspector in the Score Editor.
