Why is my project a ".cprc" file?

Hi -

I opened up an empty project in C14 Pro and loaded some VSTis for some testing.

When saving them I noticed the file type assigned by the computer/Cubase was a “.cprc” file, rather than the usual “.cpr” file.

Anyone know why it might have been assigned the “.cprc”?

I have no idea. And it’s not the Cubade project format.

Neither Google or Copilot think anything uses the .cprc extension.

The file extensions are kept in the Windows Registry. You can use Search in the Registry Editor to find out what, if anything, it thinks it’s for.
