They are from the vendor of the plugin. Maybe it is better to ask propellerhead.
You are using Reaktor. Reaktor is not a single instrument with fixed parameters, but as you know a plugin where you can load any ensemble you find in it, each one with different controls than the next. You probably need to check the Reaktor manual on how to set up automation.

OP is taking about the Cubase MIDI Modifiers. The chosen VSTi has nothing to do with this topic.

If Im automating Reakor, I wrap it in Kore…yep def not what Im talking about.
When using expressive synths and patches, there is a big difference in affecting the filter ADSR with velocity vs adjusting filter cutoff
So being able to global modulate the velocity range (using compression/expansion, offsets etc AND the fco, allows for some amazing spontaneous generation after the fact (of recording)
