Why no key indicator in Drum editor?

In the piano roll editor, when you play a key on your keyboard, a corresponding key on the roll lights up, why isn’t there any indicator in the drum editor (not that I’m seeing anyway, maybe I’m missing something?) ? I like to audition and select from my 128 different pads using my keyboard, not by clicking each drum sound in the editor with my mouse. Then when you find a sound on your keyboard, you have to figure out which octave you’re in so you can find it in the editor. Really time consuming and unnecessary.

Hi,

You can record the MIDI Note and you can see it immediately. Or you can switch to the Key Editor to see it. Or you can add MIDI Monitor MIDI Insert to see the Pitch number/name.

First method seems like the fastest, thanks!, but all seem like a workaround for a simpler solution of having an indicator, which I hope they include in an update.

I agree that it would be a useful feature when mapping a new e-drum kit.
Add the ‘feature request’ tag to your post and you might get more visibility.

Thanks, not sure how to add a feature request tag?

Never mind, got it!

Glad to hear it because I wasn’t sure how to do it either!
