Why the zoom in is not focused on the locator line in cubase 14? is there a way to define it?

it seems there is no way to define the zoom in/out to focus on the locator line area (in cubase 14), it interfere the workflow, while the track is playing and i want to zoom where it is playing, the zoom focuses on another area of the screen and the locator is running forward.. is there a way to set the zoom to the locator area? i will appriciate any help!
thank you

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Use the G and H Key Command to Zoom Out and In. This is always zooming around the Cursor.

As Martin said. And another command I use often is select some elements on the screen and press Y (zoom to selected).
Remember you can check these commands in the menu …

Hi!

I think you may be referring to the way your position pointer moves within the zoom area.

Press Alt + C (I believe that’s the default key command) or assign a key command

Edit/Key Commands > Edit/Stable Position Pointer (translated from German).

If you center the position pointer this way the focus always remains in the centre of your screen while playing the project (with or without zoom).

Also make sure that you automatically follow the current project position by clicking here:

Hope that helps.

I really really wish Cubase has a preference to change the centre from 50% to say 15%.
So instead of having equal space backwards and forwards, Cubase would intelligently know that time only goes to the right and therefore give 85% space to the right and only 15% to the left for some visual convenience. I’m so annoyed when the zoom jumps back to the centre. I’d be so grateful for that digit feature to be added,

thank you all so much! these tips are helpfull!
