Why use Steinberg UR22C (High Precision)?

What is the benefit of using Steinberg UR22C (High Precision) in Cubase VST Audio System?

As written in manual: When [Steinberg UR22C (High Precision)] is selected on Mac, Cubase will exclusively uses the driver. In this condition, [Steinberg UR22C] cannot be used by other applications.

Yes, I’ve seen that. “Cubase will exclusively uses the driver. In this condition, [Steinberg UR22C] cannot be used by other applications.” But what is the benefit of that? It is definitely not a big issue for me, but isn’t that a disadvantage when the UR22C can NOT been used by other applications?

But like I say, it is not a big issue for me. I’m just curious.

Hey @haraldsson
With High Precision you can run 32 bit integer resolution in Cubase, and it will be handled by your sound card.
