will Cubase 9 in 64 bit natively support 32 bit plugins

If I understand right there is no longer a 32 bit version.

I still make lots of use of what are now “vintage” discontinued plugins.

Wizoo’s Darbuka and Latigo, are long gone and will likely never be updated, but I use them a lot.

So if I get and install the new 64 bit Cubase 9- does it have a native shell to host 32 bit plugs?

No!
But jbridge does the job very good better then the old cubase shell.
Only old cubase sx plugins won’t run in jbridge.
