I would be really surprised if it was Cubase 7 this soon
I wouldn’t be shocked, but Nuendo or Sequel make more sense. I could see C7 if they finally did the sensible thing and release C7 with Nuendo as an add-on.
My bet is on Nuendo 6.

It seems like I filled out a survey from Steinberg around when 6.5 (maybe before, after?) was released asking whether users would like more frequent paid upgrades. I said yes, not because I love paying more money, but I would really, really like the whole drag-n-drop VSTi to create a track and dockable mixer thing Studio One has going on, but in Cubase. Here’s hoping!
