Win 7 64 - Aero - Cubase Elements 8 - Not Working

Error Msg: This product…requires aero.

Ok, I have aero running. No go.

Running a gtx760 - Directx 11 - wddm1.1 - lastest nvidia driver 358.xx

I even reinstalled Cubase but no go. I have read some of the posts but nothing I could find in these posts anything that helped.

Just bought the product today.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Do you have by any chance the “classic” windows theme activated? This will deactivate aero.
If you switch to the standard theme (“transparent” windows borders) you can be sure Windows is using aero.
