Please post a screenshot of the dialog and also state your monitors resolution.

1360x768 ( max for my monitor ) i cant drag from the top
and this page is always on top
what you see is what i see full screen

With Steinberg removing the ability to navigate dialogs with the computer keyboard on more and more of their dialogs and the minimum requirement for the vertical resolution of Cubase being 900 pixel, I think you’re doomed.

As @Johnny_Moneto says, as things stand you’ve had it. But…
If you are on Windows, for this specific dialogue (maybe others, too) Alt+SPACE will activate the control box menu, which has a “Move” option. Press “M” and then you’ll be able to move the dialogue around with the arrow keys. You may have to press TAB a few times to get the focus on that box.
Have you thought about buying a cheap 1080p monitor? Depending on where you use your laptop, obviously.

Is this a design choice or a bug that is going to be addressed in a future update? Anyone from Steinberg who would like to comment on this?

if anyone gets into this predicament
i’ve found the easy way out is to hover over the cubase icon (in the taskbar)
. . a thumb nail of the box / project window will be displayed . . close the dialogue box thumb nail
but this problem needs to be addressed
resizing is needed for people with varying systems and monitors
you cant expect someone to go out and buy a bigger house with a bigger garage
because he wants a bigger car(unless you’re a steinberg programmer)

The minimum system requirements include a screen size, since years.
Screens with 768 pixels are very rare these days.

i have no probs with the ancient resolution of’768’ on every prog i run
using win 11 / inc the internet
cubase is the only prog i have issues with . . and thats only certain dialogue boxes
(which could be fixed by making them user sizeable by default)
c’mon steinberg it isn’t rocket science :+1:

I’m quoting myself because you can still navigate dialogues with the keyboard - for now.

You can get an Acer 27" 1080 monitor at Costco for $100

alt+space does not do anything when in the track setting dialog box???
win11 os
it works with the file/export dialog with the option to resize
although it does not ‘remember’ the new settings
it does remember in other dialog boxes
the whole thing is a bummer

Did you press TAB to get the focus on the box? You may have to do it a few times, depending on what part of the dialogue you clicked on last. For me, the dialogue opens with the focus set on the OK button - TAB takes me to the Cancel button, another TAB takes me to the control box. But that’s on Windows 10. But I don’t see why the behavior should be different.

the tab does not work when in the track setting dialog box?

I can only speak from my experience. Yes, TAB key works as expected in the Track Controls Settings dialogue box. When the dialogue opens, the focus is on the OK button. Press TAB, it moves to the Cancel button, press TAB again, and the focus is on the control box.
See where the pointer/cursor/mouse is (near bar 73) when the control menu opens (video is 1440p, best viewed maximised!):

On my Cubase 13.0.20 on Mac the tab does not work in the Track Control Settings, nor does it in most other dialog boxes.

tab doesn’t work in c12 or c13 ‘track control settings’
+i dont see it working in the vid
the strange thing is . . in c12 all the’ track settings dialog’ box is visible
therefore the ‘tab key’ was never needed
(another upgrade cock up it seems)

It’s a Windows thing. I don’t know if the OP (@polyal2) is using Windows or a Mac.

What can I say? It works here. Computers eh? Who needs them!

windows 11
tab works tried it in other progs
