Windows 10 just isn't mounting external USB DVD drives :(

Windows 10 just isn’t loading external USB DVDs :frowning:

I have tried 2 drives, Samsung SE-208 and a brand new Patuoxun drive and no joy, it just won’t mount.

Anyone else having this and more importantly know the fix.

I had an issue whereby W10 wouldn’t play any DVDs, turns out a third party media player is needed. I installed the VLC player, that worked for me, maybe worth a shot? You can get it here: Download official VLC media player for Windows - VideoLAN
