Windows 10 upgrade: Activation key problem

I searched and didn’t find this answer.

After verifying that Cubase Elements 8 was compatible with Windows 10 I installed the new Windows version and the next time I opened Cubase it asked me for an activation key.

Shouldn’t they know that?
