Just a comment to pass on my experience of Windows 10 and Cubase 4. I updated to W10 from a successful installation of Windows 7. Cubase 4 took ~10 seconds to save a file when used with Windows 7, the same project takes ~3 MINUTES with Windows 10.
I don’t think I need to say more - don’t install Windows 10. I have now gone back to W7 and all is well again.
But you ran Cubase 4 on Windows 10 with no problems?
