I know this is a liitle off topic here but I was thinking, When will someone (Microsoft or Apple) make a OS version just for DAW’s? I am not a programmer by far, but how hard could this be? I am talking about a bare-bones version of windows or MacOS just for DAW’s. It has to be money in this? everyone uses DAW’s. TV,Movies,Games,Internet.
Make the version and let the companies like Steinberg build around the software. Sorta like how games and apps developers build around the xbox, ipad or playstation platforms. Seems like this will make systems more stable.
When hell freezes over. DAW users are such an inconsequential percentage of their customers, we’re basically just an afterthought to them.
