Windows Security Alert: VSTBridge

I just installed and launched Cubase Pro 8.5 on Windows 10 and immediately received a Windows Security Alert. [See attachment.] I searched but couldn’t figure out what VSTBridge does or, more importantly, why it requires network access. Should I grant it?

Any advice is appreciated.

Hi,

VSTBridge is kind of server-client communication in fact. Even if it doesn’t send data outside.

So, it never actually requires network access and it’s safe to disable all network access?

You should grant it access if you want to run any 32bit plugins in a 64bit Cubase.

Good to know.

Thank you!
