Winged repeats for end/start repeat barlines

See picture please. I know I can add wings to repeat barlines (one by one); using them to indicate jazz-style vamps, rather than normal repeats. However Dorico considers an end/start repeat barline as a single thing. Meaning: I cannot individually choose to have wings on the stop repeat barline and at the start repeat barline. (Selecting one also selects the other.). This is extremely annoying - ran into this already a number of times. (I can see how this is hard to do on the same staff/line but should be possible when the start repeat is on a new line/system break)

I guess you could create a playing technique using the glyphs in the Staff brackets and dividers category (make sure the font matches your music font).

You’d have to play around with the scaling to make it match, and move it in Engrave mode for each layout. It might take a bit of time but it will stay in place once you positioned it, even when you change rastral size afterwards.

Thank you so much for this answer. Unfortunately I’m not blessed with the pro version of Dorico… I’d really wish it was more affordable. It felt like an oversight that there’s legit circumstances to want this combination of a normal end-bar/winged-start-bar. Ran into this a number of times already. Likely this is typical for jazz music though, so might not be so much of a focus maybe? Thanks again for the kind response and detailed explanation…
