Sometimes I want to reposition MIDI data on accurate start times while preserving the played note durations. I don’t know of a way to do this in Dorico. The Playback Start Offset, Playback End Offset dialog lets me quantize start times, but if I chose to keep the played end offset these sometimes result in notes with a negative duration or notes that are much too short. I prefer not to default the played end offset because this can produce rather mechanical results rather than the articulations I played. I am using Dorico to produce auditory music and not too concerned with the appearance of scores. Thoughts?
