Ok, hardly ever. I work with templates but don’t collab with other Nuendo isers. So yeah hardly any need. I’m working jn a niche though, not doing music mixing
- Improved Direct Offline Processing (DOP)
This is really needed because if you cut a relatively long audio file and start working on a specific part of it with DOP, it shows the entire audio file. Sometimes I have no idea which part of the audio I’m supposed to process. This is still not implemented in Nuendo 14 yet.
And since I personally use pitch shift a lot in DOP, I’d love to see some improvements such as comprehensive transpose increments. Just show us how much transpose we applied by showing numbers and let us pitch down instead of using incomprehensive piano roll.
Lastly, I can’t believe Nuendo 14 can’t export video audio in 24bit. It only supports 16bit when exporting the video. How is this OK for everyone??
That is because it strictly follows mp4 specifications. But it supports Replace Audio in Video without the need to re render.
There is an excellent free Shutter Encoder. Or Handbrake both allow you to replace audio.
I don’t work with templates, but I re-use settings from other mixes I did within the same project, e.g. other songs when working on a live album, or similar music cues of a movie score.
This MediaER Pro app is such a timesaver for me in this context) Give it a try
I don’t think AAC really has a “bit depth”. It says 16 bit in the export window, but that’s not how the codec works.
And yeah, we definitely need a way to navigate the clip while working with DOP!
I would like to use multiple audio device parallel in Cubase / Nuendo, as it is possible in Luna. Not the same, as the aggregated device in MacOS. Eg.: I have an Elektron Syntakt with 12 mono out, Digitakt II with 16 stereo out, MC101 with 4 stereo out. It is a great feature in Luna, that I can record all their audio tracks in one round. And if I would like to connect another instrument, I just need to check in this new (digital) sound source, and that’s it.
Aggregated devices is a great feature in MacOS. Using multiple interfaces enter the sync problem between devices. MacOS solves it. I think is not ease to be implemented directly in Nuendo.
You could record in luna and mix in Nuendo though
It’s Ok, but an aggregated device is “static”, it’s not so straightforward to manage. In Luna, I can ad-hoc add and remove device(s).
Of course, but it would be much easier, if Cubase/Nuendo could manage this “in house”.
Fifth time this week.
Every single time Pro Tools is the solution and answer, not “just tell the editor bla bla bla”.
Money out of my wallet.
Blackmagic Design’s Fairlight just got updated in Resolve v20:
AI music editing, check.
AI voice matching/cloning, check.
AI transcription and editing, check.
I asked for those three specifically. In addition another potentially very useful tool;
“AI IntelliCut to checkerboard dialogue by speaker”
And the whole Resolve Studio is 295 dollars…
Just updated to v20 and will start playing with it. It looks promising…

Prices are already rising—just two days ago, the camera was $1,999; now it’s $2,999. As the tariff war escalates, expect costs to climb even higher.
The world is on a path to global environmental disaster.
Tariffs are the least of anyone’s’ worries, when you factor what’s coming down the line in terms of loss of food production and water resources.
I think the German Scientists know this, as well as Mr. Trump, hence why DWTV is my favourite show.
DWTV ?
Is it a channel!
Yes, it is a 24/7 news channel, that covers both Germany and the rest of the world, with factual information regarding war, the economy, environment and politics, as well as history.
I think France also has an English language news channel as well, but it is nowhere near as broad in content, as DW is.
@Bendi64, am using using Matrix from VB-Audio since a couple of weeks. Works perfectly for me to aggregate multiple audio-devices to make it look as one within Nuendo.
Used Asio4all before. Matrix makes a big difference. Stable, latency is much better and usability is great (… what signal should go where …).
