Hi
In Cubase I can load the script for Softube Console 1 Fader MK3 from the MIDI-Remote page, and get the icon up and the mixer is running steady. But in Nuendo!! The script is at the same location (replacing Cubase with Nuendo of course): ‘/Users/musicmind/Documents/Steinberg/Nuendo/MIDI Remote/Driver Scripts/Local/Softube/Console 1 Fader/Softube_Console 1 Fader.js’, but the script isn’t recognized and I can’t load it.
I supposed Nuendo 15 and Cubase 15 was rather similar at this point but apparently they are not.
Any, ANY help much appreciated!
If I can’t get the right script up in Nuendo 15, I can’t use the MIDI CC Mode of the controller. Please help!
I have 2 of them and they mostly work on N15. Sometimes I have to hit the refresh icon on the MIDI remote page, sometimes I have to add the unit manually, and sometimes I have to use the Control 1 plugin on each track.
And you can add them the usual way?
yes, all works straight out of the box in Nuendo at my side.
If I remember right, one time Nuendo didn’t recognize the Fader, but then I had to change USB post (no regular hub, but a powered hub). Sometimes there can be a conflict with other midi controllers.
Having said this: Softube and Steinberg are not the best friends: Console 1 can slow down Cubase & Nuendo (when you use Console 1 plugins on each track). But in general DAW mode I works most of the time. Sometimes the connecting is lost, but after a reset it is there again. But that can be frustating. Especially when changing projects in Nuendo, Console 1 is not always following.
I can but it’s annoying. I also own a Panorama CS12 from Nektar and it just works when I turn it on so our problems might be on Softube’s end.
