Hi!
As I understand it Supervision is now included in WL 11, but I can’t find it in my list of plugins (under Organize Plugins).
So where is it supposed to be installed?
Or have I missunderstood this…?

Well, acctually it is not!!
So that’s why I created the topic!
I will try Force Plugin Detection and see what happens.

Hi!
So after Forced Plugin detection still no Analyzer folder or Supervision plugin anywhere else!
I have it installed and use it in Cubase 11, may that have anything to do with it?
I guess I’ll have to try re-installation…!?!
/Hackej
Don’t reinstall, but try a plugin rescan. It seems that more than one plugin is missing, from your picture.
What is your exact OS version?
Hi PG!
Win 10 latest version.
I usually have quite a lot of problems with some Waves plugins so I frequently have to do rescan.
So I did a rescan as described above but no change, will try it again!

Hi again!
Latest plugin detection looks like this!
Still no Supervision, and no folder structure as before.

Hi, do you have the chance to check the privacy settings on latest Windows 10 version?
Hi!
Ok, will do!!
Latest (and third detection) looks much better!!
But now I’m missing Waves “VU Meter” and “WLM Meter” (VST3-versions only), which I always have problems with. So I will have to do another detection later.

Hi!
Any specific privacy settings in particular you mean?

Hi again!
It seems that Supervision is detected OK now in WL 11, but I still have some problems with Waves plugins.
Detection is different between WL 10 (first image) and WL 11 (second image), although using same settings and after Repair of plugins in Waves Central.
WL10
WL11
Quite a lot of plugins are not detected in WL11, so what might be the difference here?
Anyone else having these problems?
/Hackej
Waves come with VST-2 and VST-3.
It is recommended to only install VST-3
Hi!
Thanks for the reply and help PG.
I did a total deletion of Waves Central and Waves folders and then a re-installation of Waves plugins. In Cubase 11 and WL 11 I then had all Waves plugins installed okay, but in WL10 I was still missing VST3 versions of VU-meter and WLM-meters as before (no Waves Analyser folder):
I also tried a Plugin detection using only VST3 folder with the same result, and this time WL could not propose replacing missing VST3 plugins with VST2 plugins.
Then just now after yet another Plugin detection, all Waves plugins in WL10 are okay as well.
So this is really strange, w’ell see what happens next time I have to do an plugin detection.
So for now all is OK!

I run quite a few Waves plugins and don’t have the problems you are having. However, there were at least two times when I contacted Waves about something else, and the Techs wanted to look at Waves Central and the various Waves storage folders. No problem. I gave him access to my PC and both times they removed a lot of older Waves folders (Waves 9 and Waves 10 for example) leaving only my Waves 11 and Waves 12. In the course of doing this I watched what they was doing and asked them why this and why that, so it was an education experience.
As a result my Waves plugin folders are obviously fewer and Waves is seemingly more responsive. Maybe email Waves and tell them of your problem? I’ve always had good experiences with their Techs.
One thing I can easily suggest you do on your own is to open the Waves Central app, click on Settings, and scroll down to ‘Clear Central cache’. At the time I didn’t really understand what this was all about. It is actually a storage deposit of all the downloads of Waves that you have made since you’ve had Waves on your DAW. I think I had 2.5G of files there the first time. I check this periodically now. Currently I have 24 MB there.
Hi!
And thank you for the reply and the tip.
Yes, I have also frequently used the Maintenance functions in WC; Repair, Cleanup, Version organizer and Clear cache etc, but still had some problems with some specific plugins, and only in WL.
What I did now to minimise problems with Waves was (more or less what Waves support was doing):
So now it actually looks okay in both WL 10 and WL 11, so it seems to be a good idea to do some cleaning up of old Waves stuff.

Sweet. You are on top of it! FWIW, there are so many plug-in makers out there these days and some offerings are as good or perhaps better than Waves, but I’m happy with Waves overall. And frankly, now that WL and Cubase have really sorted the external efx connection I am pretty set. All the best, Hackej.
